This modern wedding had a timeless feel with luxury details at Middleton Place Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina. The bride wore a strapless gown with side shurring and side slit with button back. She completed her look with pearl accented shoes from Harlo as she met her groom in his classic tuxedo for a first look photo session. The bride’s long, golden hair was styled in waves and topped with a floral accented veil. She carried a white, hand tied bouquet as we captured some bridal portraits beneath Spanish moss-covered trees, which even featured some sheep. Black and wicker chairs were filled with the couple’s closest family and friends as the bride made her way down the long outdoor aisle to her groom. White floral arrangements from Branch Design Studio were at both ends of the aisle as well as some on pillars.
After the vows were exchanged, we captured some lovely portraits of the newlyweds prior to the reception. Guests went indoors for the reception at the Middleton Inn Lake House where white tablecloth covered tables with white dinnerware place settings awaited them. White roses in clear glass vases sat next to white floating candles in hurricane candleholders to serve as centerpieces. After a brick oven pizza dinner, guests enjoyed a white buttercream heart shaped wedding cake along with chocolate truffles. Guests then took to the dance floor to celebrate with musical entertainment. The bride donned a white scarf as the newlyweds got in their white vintage car and bid farewell to their guests.
