If your couples have a water-side reception and are down to end the wedding night in a crazy fun way AND get some epic photos…this may be a suggestion you’ll want to make:
These two seriously know how to throw a party with hosting a boat party for their reception! It was so fun dancing the night away sailing around the lake. We couldn’t have planned a better way to end their wedding night, than with the newly appointed bride and groom jumping in the lake! If you have a fun couple who wants to go outside the box with their photos, encourage a fun end-of-night send off.
We used our flash to achieve these epic photos in the dark and we had SO many people asking for my settings…so here they are!
Flash Settings for Dark:
For my camera settings when using flash, I go back and forth between a higher and a slower shutter ⬇️
Normal Settings:
ISO 100
f/ 2.5-3.5
Shutter speed 1/200-1/250
Light Drag Settings
ISO 100
f/ 3.5 +
Shutter speed 1/25-1/40
I also point my flash DIRECTLY at my subjects, as I prefer that look over a bounced flash look. I hope this helps you achieve those incredible night shots that look oh so dreamy!
