This wedding at Jekyll Island in Georgia was beautifully planned by Madelyn Tenney Events. Guests received invitations on crisp white paper, featuring the cottage where the bride and groom were to hold their ceremony. The bride spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids. Her golden hair was styled into an updo with loose tendrils framing her face and topped with a veil. She was radiant in a plunging neckline wedding gown with a button back and white platform shoes complete with rhinestone buckles. Brides and Blooms Florals created lush white floral bouquets for the bridal party, with the bride’s featuring draping greenery, and coordinating boutonnieres for the groomsmen.
The Ceremony
White chairs lined the aisle for the ceremony that were accented with white floral arrangements with greenery at Jekyll Island Club Resort. A stunning natural wooden cross sat at the end of the aisle, acting as a backdrop for our couple, and was decorated with white flowers. Guests looked on as the couple exchanged vows. The bridesmaids stood nearby in pale yellow silk dresses, while the groom and his groomsmen wore black tuxedos.
The Reception
Following the ceremony, we began capturing their love with portraits beneath Spanish moss-covered trees. Guests then headed to the reception in the courtyard to start the celebration. The reception had a mix of white linens and black tables. Each table beautifully decorated with white floral centerpieces and white candles in glass hurricane vases. Raffia placemats with white napkins served as the place settings. Guests enjoyed a sit down dinner prior to the three tier white wedding cake for dessert. The bride opted for a short dress with back corset tie for dancing to music from DJ Aladinn.
